이 노트북 역시 사용자 평을 들어보기 위해서, 네이버를 아무리 기웃거려봐도.. 검색이 되질 않는다..
한국에 나온 모델중에서 가장 비슷한 녀석은 ASUS F8SR 모델이다.

그럼 호주의 F8SA와 한국의 F8SR은 어떤 차이가 있을까? 비슷하긴한데.. 아주 아주 상당히 틀리다.
같은점은.. 외관이 똑같다. 메모리와 하드 디스크도 똑같다. 기타 다 똑같다고 하고, 틀린점만 한번 나열해보자..

1. CPU 를 보면, F8SA는 T7300의 2.2GHz의 메롬.. F8SR은 T8300의 2.4GHz 펜린이다.. 완전히 틀린 CPU 인데.. 같은 종류라니.. 흐흑.. 호주에는 F8SR 이 안 보인다. 흐흑..
but 그러나.. F8SA의 2차캐쉬가 4M, F8SR은 3M 라는 사실.. 그래도, T8300 이 두단게 높은게 사실.. --;

2. 화면해상도.. 똑같은 14.1 inch 인데 F8SA 는 1440x900, F8SR은 1200x800 입니다. 전혀 다르지요.

3. F8SA는 TV수신이 됩니다. 아나로그와 디지틀 모두~ 됩니다. R8SR에는 TV 수신기능이 없지요^^

4. F8SA는 터모 메모리가 없어요 흐흑..

5. Graphic Card가 F8SA는 ATI HD2600 이고, R8SR은 ATI HD2400 입니다.

ASUS F8SR

데스크탑 PC와 마찬가지로 노트북 또한 펜린 CPU를 탑재한 제품들이 큰 인기를 얻고 있다. 최근 입고되는 고급형 제품들이 대부분 펜린 프로세서를 기본 탑재하고 있으며 향후 6개월 정도는 펜린의 전성시대가 되지 않을까 생각된다. (단순한 속도차이 뿐만 아니라 발열 및 소비전력 감소를 통한 안정성 향상으로 큰 인기를 끌고 있는 프로세서 이다.) 이번에 리뷰를 진행할 F8SR 또한 얼마전 리뷰를 진행했던 W7SG와 마찬가지로 펜린 CPU를 탑재한 제품으로 HD2400과 2GB의 메모리를 기본지원하여 강력한 성능을 구현하는 제품이며 디자인 또한 무척 감각적인 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 14.1인치에 2.5Kg을 넘지 않는 무게로 휴대성에도 신경쓴 제품이라는 것을 알 수 있다. 터보메모리를 기본 지원하는 제품으로 강력한 성능을 보여줄 만한 제품으로 예측하고 있다. 각종 테스트를 총해 기기의 전체적인 성능을 파악해 보도록 하자. 모델명 ASUS F8SR-4P010C 프로세서 Intel? (12.1인치 이하의 노트북들에 비해 휴대성이 떨어지는 것이 사실이다. 하지만 15.4인치 제품들과 비교한다면 충분한 매리트를 느낄 수 있을 만한 사이즈로 큰 화면과 휴대성을 동시에 만족시키고자 하는 유저들에게 어필할 수 있는 제품이라 할 수 있다.) 기기의 디자인은 아수스 답게 고급스러운 느낌을 살리려 노력한 것을 한눈에 확인할 수 있다. 상판부 및 팜래스트 부분에는 대나무를 형상화한 선을 프린팅 한 것을 확인할 수 있으며 하이그로시 UV코팅을 적용하여 고급스러운 느낌을 극대화한 것을 확인할 수 있다. (얼마전 회사를 운영하고 있는 이모부님의 노트북을 구입해 드린적이 있는데 성능 뿐만 아니라 기기의 디자인도 고려하여 기기를 구입해야 했기 때문에 무척 애를 먹었던 기억이 난다. F8SR 정도의 디자인이라면 별다른 고민없이 구입했을 것 같다.) 1280 x 800의 LCD 해상도가 약간 아쉽지만 선명도나 시야각은 나무랄 때없이 훌륭한 제품이다. LCD 상단부에는 180도 회전이 가능한 130화소의 웹캠이 설치되어 화상 프리젠테이션 및 사진 동영상 촬영이 가능하며 우측 하단에는 전원 버튼이 부착되어 있는 것을 확인할 수 있다. 키보드 상단에는 상태표시 LED와 각종 부가기능 설정 버튼 (Power 4 Gear Extream, Bluetooth, 무선랜, Splendid Video Intelligence, Windows Media Center) 이 부착된 것을 확인할 수 있으며 터치패드 중앙부에는 보안 기능 강화를 위해 지문인식 센서를 부착한 것을 알 수 있다. 14.1인치 와이드 제품이며 NUM 키패드가 부착되어 있지 않기 때문에 키보드 사이즈는 무척 큰 편이다. (하단 팜래스트도 상당히 넓은편으로 타이핑하는데 불편함은 전혀 없었다.) 기기 전면부의 모습으로 레치레스 방식으로 제작된 제품이라는 것을 알 수 있다. 좌측면에는 인디케이터가 장착되어 전원 및 무선랜/블루투스의 작동상황을 손쉽게 파악할 수 있으며 우측에는 IrDA 적외선 포트가 부착되어 PDA 등의 IrDA지원 제품들과 데이터 통신이 가능하다. 또한 양 측면에 스테레오 스피커가 부착되어 음악이나 동영상 등을 손쉽게 즐길수 있다. (MP3 파일을 재생하여 외장스피커의 사운드를 확인해 보았는데 저음이 약간 부족하는 느낌이 들기는 했지만 중고음부는 상당히 깨끗하기 때문에 귀를 자극하지 않았다.) 기기 좌측면의 모습으로  MATSHITA DVD-RAM UJ-860S 가 장착되어 있으며 (대용량의 데이터를 손쉽게 레코딩 할 수 있다.) 분리가 가능하기 때문에 휴대성을 높일 수 있다. 하단에는 Express Slot을 비롯하여 USB, 오디오 (S/PDIF 지원), IEEE1394단자 등이 부착되어 있으며 상단부에는 데이터 백업을 위한 Multi Card Reader 가 설치된 것을 확인할 수 있다. 기기 좌측면의 모습으로 2개의 USB단자가 부착되어 있으며 상단에는 통풍구 및 도난 방지를 위한 켄싱턴 락 홀이 설치된 것을 확인할 수 있다. (F8SR은 총 5개의 USB단자를 지원하여 별도로 USB허브를 연결할 필요가 없다.) 기기 후면부의 모습으로 다양한 단자부가 눈에 뛴다. D-SUB 및 DVI, S-Video 단자가 부착되어 손쉽게 외부 영상기기를 연결할 수 있으며 USB단자도 설치된 것을 확인할 수 있다. 또한 RJ45 / RJ11 단자를 지원하여 손쉽게 인터넷 등을 사용할 수 있다. (무선랜 또한 기본 지원한다.) 기기 바닥면의 모습으로 좌측 하단에는 4800mAh의 용량을 지원하는 리튬이온 배터리가 장착되어 있으며 우측하단에는 250GB의 S-ATA HDD와 터보메모리가 장착되어 있는 것을 확인할 수 있다. (커버에 고무패드가 부착되어 바닥면의 충격을 흡수해 주고 있다.) @ 배터리를 완충한 후 전원설정을 High Performance로 설정하고 슬라이드쇼를 무한 반복해 본 결과 1시간 45분 정도 재생되는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 약간은 아쉬운 재생시간으로 야외에서 장시간 사용시에는 전원 어뎁터를 가지고 다녀야 할 듯 하다. 바닥면 내부의 모습으로 칩셋은 히트파이프를 통해 관리되는 것을 확인할 수 있으며 2개의 메모리 슬롯으로 추후 최대 4GB까지 업그레이드가 가능하다. 또한 ATI HD2400 그래픽 카드가 설치된 것도 확인할 수 있다. 악세사리의 모습으로 상단에 이야기 한 것처럼 한글 사용설명서 및 퀵메뉴얼 각종 어플리케이션 CD, 전원어뎁터 등이 동봉되어 있으며 일반 크리닝 천 이외에도 고급형 크리닝 천이 제공되는 것을 확인할 수 있다. 기본 제공되는 마우스의 모습으로 가벼울 뿐만 아니라 사진과 같이 줄감개가 설치되어 있고 USB단자를 고정 시킬 수 있도록 설계되어 휴대가 무척 용이하다. 세련된 디자인은 유저들의 눈길을 사로잡기에 충분해 보인다. 이번에는 각종 테스트를 통해 기기의 성능을 파악해 보도록 하자. (펜린 프로세서에 2GB의 메모리, HD 2400, 터보메모리 등 눈에 뛰는 부분들이 많이 발견되는 제품이다.) 디자인 만큼이나 성능도 만족을 줄 수 있을까? 하나하나 살펴보자. 장치관리자만 봐도 고급형 제품인지 중저가형 제품인지 확인할 수 있을 것이다. 듀얼코어를 지원하는 T8300이 장착되어 있으며 HD2400 및 블루투스 4965AGN 무선랜, 지문인식센서, 웹캠 등이 장착되어 보급형 제품과는 차별화된 모습을 보여주는 것을 확인할 수 있다. (윈도우 체험지수도 평균 4.6 정도로 상당히 높은 것을 확인 할 수 있다. 그래픽 스코어가 다소 낮기는 하지만 게이밍 노트북이 아니기 때문에 큰 단점이 되지는 않으리라 생각된다.) ASUS 만의 차별화된 소프트웨어인 Splendid Video Intelligence 프로그램이 설치되어 다양한 색감 설정이 가능하며 Power 4 Gear eXtream을 통해 다양한 전원 설정이 가능하다. (셋팅을 통해 최대 20~30%까지 노트북 사용시간을 증가시킬 수 있다.) 보안기능 강화를 위한 Security Protect Manager 프로그램을 제공하는 것을 확인할 수 있다. 기기에 장착된 지문인식기를 Setting 할 수 있으며 비밀번호 설정 등이 가능하다. 디자인 부분에서도 확인할 수 있듯 F8SR은 터보메모리를 장착한 제품이다. 사진과 같이 전용 프로그램을 이용하여 터보메모리를 설정할 수 있으며 터보메모리 설정을 통해 부팅시간 및 응용 프로그램 로딩 시간 등을 단축할 수 있다. (인텔 산타로사 플랫폼 리뷰를 통해 검증한 부분이다. 하단의 링크를 통해 터보메모리의 성능을 파악해 보기 바란다.) Intel Santa Rosa Platform 리뷰 바로가기 기본 지원하는 LifeFrame을 이용하여 웹캠의 화질을 확인해 보았다. 다소 버벅일 것이란 예상과 달리 광량이 다소 부족한 실내 사무실에서도 버벅임이 없었으며 화질또한 무척 만족스러웠다. (또한 180도 회전이 가능하여 손쉽게 다양한 앵글의 촬영이 가능하다.) 고급형 제품답게 블루투스를 기본 지원하며 사진과 같이 블루투스 스피커 및 핸드폰이 정상적으로 등록되는 것을 확인할 수 있다. (최대 10M 까지 지원하기 때문에 정숙을 요하는 사무실 등에서 요긴하게 사용할 수 있으리라 생각된다.) PowerDVD를 사용하는 일반적인 테스트와 달리 기기에 기본 내장된 InstantFun 프로그램을 통해 DVD타이틀을 재생해 보았다. 우측 사진과 같이 Windows Media Player가 실행되며 원할하게 재생되는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. (화질은 나무랄때 없이 훌륭하며 최대 볼륨 사운드가 약간 작은게 아쉽긴 하지만 기본적인 사운드 퀄리티도 만족스러운 편이었다.) @ DVI 및 S-Video 단자가 장착되어 있으며 S/PDIF를 기본 지원하는 제품으로 AV기기와의 연결도 무척 간편하다. 포토샵의 실행 모습으로 터보메모리가 장착된 제품답게 빠른 로딩속도가 무척 인상 적이었다. (시간을 측정하지는 않았지만 체감할 수 있을 정도로 로딩 속도가 빠르다.) 대량의 사진을 올려 놓아도 버벅임은 발생하지 않았으며 색 표현력이나 밝기 및 선명도 또한 편집작업을 실행하는데 문제가 없었다. 벤치마크 프로그램을
